Product Characteristics & V.S. Prepaid Water Meter - Photoelectric AMR Water Meter
Straight reading - Use of photoelectric straight reading technology, delivers direct readout from the dial counter, electronic readout and mechanical readout sustain the same, enabling error-free meter reading.
Non-power supply – The water meter requires no power supply normally, zero - power consumption, instant power supply is required only when reading the meter.
Small calibre water meter uses of 2-wired M-Bus line, regardless of polarity, easy and simple construction; Generally, The bulk meter is battery-powered, and uses of RS485 line for saving electricity’s sake.
Use of decelerating magnatic transmission structure, simultaneously, it improves the driving force of the magnet, eliminating the phenomena of “Step failing out”.
“Step failing out”: When a water meter operates at large flow rate, the lower magnet and the up magnet won't operate in a simultaneous step, which is proved by the factor that: The register will rotate very slowly(the error may mount to 50% at a severe level) when the valve is closed all of a sudden; The vane wheel stops rotating but the register will continue to rotate for a while due to the inertance when the valve is closed suddenly.
The Valve control water meter uses of large torque actuator, drive supported by small current(Current used is about 1/2 of prepaid water meter) , large drive torque(about 2 times of that of prepaid water meter), ensuring that valve is able to move reliably. Is able to achieve the functionalities such as: remote control valve on/off, valve shut-off due to arrear and prepayment.
Achieves the timing shut-on/off off the valve through the system, eliminating the block of the ball valve caused by long-term stillness and deposit.

V.S. Prepaid Water Meter
Power Supply - The prepaid water meter is battery-powered, timely battery change is required when battery malfunction arises or serive life arrives; There is no battery within the photoelectric AMR water meter, power supply provided by the bus line is required only when reading the meter;
Remote Monitoring - The prepaid water meter works independently normally, external monitoring is not accessible, malfunctions of meter won’t be timely found and removed due to they will be found only when routing inspection is performed(labor-consuming); However, the operating status of the photoelectric AMR meter is able to be monitored after being integrated into the network so that the malfunctions will be eliminated.
Remote valve shut-off - Normally, the prepaid water meter is free from being monitored, the protection functionality will be activated when the meter detects some exceptions(such as arrears, magnetic filed or low battery), the meter will automatically shuts off the valve. The customers will complain when water distribution is cut off due to non-arrear reason. Instead, the photoelectric AMR meter will shut off the valve only when the customers is in arrear status. Moreover, the shut-off activity of valve is performed by the software by sending shut-off valve command instead of the meter itself, preventing the abnormal valve shut-off.
