GPRS-based wireless AMR/AMI & data management system
Can be customized to special applications, such as leakage detection, energy management, etc.
The GPRS-based data management system offers a way for customers to monitor remote meters, such as flowmeters, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, level sensors, BTU meters, etc., in real-time fashion automatically and reliably. In addition, using an optional web portal software, clients can loginto their own account through the Internet anytime and anywhere.
The major components of this system include:
1. Wireless meter
The meter, which can be any of our products, has a built-in GPRS wireless modem. It automatically transmits flow data to the data center twice a day(meter reading frequency depends on the battery capacity). The SIM card can be inserted into the modem, as long as your cell phone company provides GPRS data service for the SIM card.
2. GPRS Wireless Service
This service, provided by your cell phone company, transmits data from the meter to the data center server wirelessly. Each meter/tank needs its own wireless service. You just need to insert the SIM card into the wireless modem of the meter.
3. Data Center Server
The GPRS wireless network sends meter data to the data center server every few minutes. The server is a high-performance secured computer with UPS and backup protection, static IP address, gateway, and firewall protection. The Server software runs on this and automatically collects data from all the remote meters, saving the data into the SQL database.
4. User Interface Software
This software communicates with the data center server through the Internet. It fetches data from the data center server, and the user can display the data through the graphic interface, save the data to the hard drive, print the data, etc.
5. Web Portal(optional)
The data collected by the data center server can be viewed from a website remotely. Each of the company's clients can log into his own account using a web browser and check the amount of water delivered to the account.
